Oooh. Happy growing! My favorite flowers of the summer are the hollyhockks (that come up around Monkey’s b-day) and the sunflowers (that come up around mine). One of our neighbors is a master gardener and she offered to look and our space (balconies) and make suggestions about what we can grow. We’ll see if we have time to plant next year or if we’ll give it a go next year.

Welcome home, worms, and happy summer break, kiddo! I can’t wait to hear all about the worm adventures! I’ve always wanted to try that, and still plan on it, someday, when I have a lawn. I totally understand not having even a scrap of yard!

Oh, side note, I planted a mini balcony garden this year, and so far have the beginnings of tomatoes, sunflowers, and two types of flowers (forget-me-nots and…um…something else I’ve forgotten.) There were others, but they didn’t make it! Oh, well, 4 pots of growing things isn’t that bad! :)
